History

  • January 1995 - City of Views Chorus formed under direction of Doris Ward.
  • June 1995 - Name changed to Circular Keys Chorus.
  • July 1995 - Competed in Ryde Eisteddford achieving 1st place, Popular Show/Choir/Barbershop Chorus.
  • March 1996 - Chorus chartered by Sweet Adelines International (SAI).
  • June 1996 - Competed in our first Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, "Harmony in Paradise", Gold Coast. Placed 2nd among Small Choruses. (see photo below) 
  • July 1996 - Competed in McDonalds City of Sydney Performing Arts Challenge. 1st place, Barbershop/Sweet Adelines Chorus.
  • August 1996 - Competed in our second City of Ryde Eisteddford. Second place in Popular/Show Choir/Barbershop Section.
  • 28 June 1997 - First Circular Keys Chorus Show, "Another Opening, Another Show" at Don Moore Centre, Carlingford.
  • July 1997 - Competed in our third City of Ryde Eisteddford. 2nd Place, Popular/Show Choir/Barbershop Chorus.
  • August 1997 - McDonald's City of Sydney Performing Arts Challenge. 1st Place, Barbershop Chorus/Sweet Adeline Chorus Section.
  • June 1998 - Competed in our second Sweet Adelines Regional Convention in Adelaide, South Australia. 11th place Chorus.
  • November 1999 - Second Circular Keys Chorus Show, "I've Got the Music In Me", Castle Hill High School, Castle Hill.
  • June 2000 - Our third Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, "Let the Good Times Roll", Perth, Western Australia.
  • June 2001 - Sweet Adelines Southern Cross Region Australian Education Symposium.
  • November 2001 - Third Circular Keys Chorus Show.
  • January 2002 - Circular Keys Chorus gets a new Director - Vicki Dwyer.
  • June 2002 - 1st Place Small Chorus (Div A) Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, "Dare to Dream", Wollongong, NSW.
  • May 2003 - Circular Key Chorus Show - "Mum's the Word" - Castle Hill.
  • November 1st 2003 - The Secret's Out! Circular Keys Show - Riverside Theatres Parramatta.
  • November 2nd 2003 - Circular Keys Chorus perform for Australian Prime Minister John Howard at a private party.
  • May 2004 - Circular Keys Chorus named Official Ambassadors for Baulkham Hills Shire Council.
  • May 2004 - Circular Keys Chorus wins Second Place Large Chorus Category for Sweet Adelines International 2004 Add-a-Voice New Member Growth Contest. ( with a New Member Growth percentage of 26.42%)
  • June 2004 - 3rd Place Mid-Size Chorus (4th Place Overall) Sweet Adelines Regional Convention - Adelaide.
  • September 2004 - Flying High on Harmony - Chorus Show in support of Accolade at the Hills Centre Castle Hill.
  • January 2005 - 10th Anniversary of Circular Keys Chorus' first meeting.
  • May 2005 - 2nd Place Chorus (and 2nd Place Midsize Chorus) Sweet Adelines Regional Convention - Adelaide.
  • October 2005 - Doin' Time - Chorus Show with Idea of North and Glenn T at the Hills Centre Castle Hill.
  • March 2006 - 10th Anniversary of Circular Keys Chorus official Chartering by SAI.
  • May 2006 - 1st Place Midsize Chorus and 2nd Place Overall Chorus Sweet Adelines Regional Convention - Brisbane.
  • April 2007 - Our inaugural Chorus Annual Awards Night and Dinner Dance held in Dural to celebrate our 11th Anniversary.
  • October 2007 - CKC ON AIR - Chorus Show at Pacific Hills School Dural.
  • May 2008 - 2nd Place Chorus - Sweet Adelines Regional Convention - Hobart. With our best score yet of 596 points.
  • June 2009 - Finalist - Sydney Eisteddford - John Lamble Australasian Open Choral Championship.
  • August 2009 - Chorus Show 2009 at the Shore School North Sydney.
  • October 2009 - Joint Chorus Show with the River Blenders Chorus at Logan Centre in St.Louis Missouri USA.
  • October 2009 - 25th placed Chorus at SAI International Chorus Competition in Nashville (scoring 1110)

  • May 2004 - Sweet Adelines International Add-a-Voice Membership Campaign - 2nd Place Large Chorus award.
  • June 2002 - 1st Place Small Chorus  (Div A), 6th Place Overall Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, Wollongong.
  • June 2000 - 13th Place Chorus, Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, Perth.
  • June 1998 - 11th Place Chorus, Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, Adelaide.
  • June 1996 - 2nd Place Small Chorus (Div A) Sweet Adelines Regional Convention, Gold Coast.
