A Hawaiian Dream come true
Accolade placed 29th in the 2008 International Quartet Contest (out of 50 competing quartets), improving on their 2006 International score by 146 points. This is the highest placing ever of an Australian Quartet at the Sweet Adelines International contest. This is a great result for the girls in their third outing on the International Contest Stage representing Region 34.

From Hobart to Hawaii 2008
Did you know Accolade are heading to Hawaii at the end of October. Yes – we’re representing Australia (Region 34) at the International Sweet Adelines Convention!!  The past few months have been spent madly rehearsing and being coached by such fabulous people as Darlene Rogers & Pat LeVezu, and we’re feeling JUST about ready to perform on the big stage in Honolulu. 

You can watch us on the Sweet Adelines Webcast – we’ll be performing at about 7.54pm on Wednesday 5^th November (Hawaii time) – that’s 4.54pm on THURSDAY 6^th here in Australia (we think!).  But the webcast starts MUCH sooner than that, so tune in earlier to hear some fabulous barbershop singing.

Sydney A Capella Festival 13th September 2008
Accolade quartet are proud to be performing in the first Sydney A Capella Festival. Presented by The Cleftomaniacs, the Festival brings together an exciting array of a cappella talent in The Sound Lounge at the Seymour Theatre Centre in Chippendale.  Choose from six shows featuring many award-winning performers in an atmospheric, cabaret-style venue. From choirs to quartets, you’ll hear high energy gospel, contemporary and retro pop, blues, jazz, world, folk, classical, barbershop … and everything in between. 

Accolade Wow Hobart!
Accolade quartet have won 1st Place in the Region 34 Sweet Adelines 2008 quartet competition held in Hobart on 2nd May 2008. Accolade competed against 33 other quartets from around Australia at the Wrest Point Casino Convention Centre to win their fourth 1st place medals and the opportunity to again represent Australia at International competition in Honolulu Hawaii.

As 2008 rolls around Accolade quartet are celebrating singing together for five fantastic fun-filled  years and are rehearsing to compete in Regional contest during May in beautiful Hobart.  See you in Hobart!

CKC On Air!
Accolade quartet will perform in the Circular Keys Chorus Show on 27th October 2007 - Come and support your National Champions and their home Chorus.

Accolade Ace It Again!
Accolade quartet have won 1st Place in the Region 34 Sweet Adelines 2007 quartet competition held in Brisbane on 18th May 2007. Accolade competed against 26 other quartets from around Australia at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre to seize their third 1st place medals and the opportunity to again represent Australia at International competition in Calgary Canada. After accepting their medals and trophies from Rae Knight the Chair of the regional contest, Vicki, Wendy, Amanda and Vicki thrilled the crowd by singing "The Bandstand in Central Park". 

Debut CD Available Now!
Accolade are pleased to announce the release of their debut CD. "Mosaic" is a collection of songs that represent snapshots of Accolade's musical journey from the first time they ever sang together to the International Contest Stage.  Click here for more information or to purchase online.

Accolade in Las Vegas!
Accolade will represent Region 34 for the second time on the International competition stage. The girls will be on stage at 3.30pm Las Vegas time on the 11th October 2006 – you can watch and listen the webcast, be at your computers from approximately 7.30am on Thursday the 12th October (Sydney time).

All for Four - A Big Thank You
Accolade would like to thank all the quartets that performed on their show on Sunday 17th September 2006 at Ryde Secondary College Hall. A big thank you to Diamond G, Cadenza, Backbeat, Turning Point and Sharp Focus for their love and support and thank you to those family, friends and supporters that turned out to see and hear a great show of a'capella music. The day was a great success raising funds to assist Accolade to represent Australia on the International contest stage.  Next stop - Vegas! [Photos below]

Practice by Performance
27th August 2006 - Accolade have had a great weekend of practicing for International competition by performing in two shows. On Friday night they were pleased to perform on Circular Keys Chorus graduation of the "Divas Wanted" program and on Sunday afternoon they performed again to a packed room at Norths Leagues Club at the graduation concert of Sydney Harmony Chorus' "Sing In Harmony" program.  See them next at the Quartet Showcase "All For Four" on 17th September!  [Photos below]

24th June 2006 - Accolade have been recording their first CD at new Lulu Sound Studios in the beautiful Blue Mountains west of Sydney.  [Photos below]

Vegas Baby Vegas!
Accolade are heading to Las Vegas to again represent Australia at the Sweet Adelines International Convention in October 2006.

Accolade win the 2006 Regional Sweet Adelines competition for a second time with a record regional score of 599 on Friday 19th May 2006 at Brisbane Town Hall.

Did You Know?
Our lead Vicki Dwyer has taken on directing Sydney Harmony Chorus - New South Wales' leading all-male a cappella singing group. [Photo below]
